It started with a 3D printer in a dorm room.
In 2020, Aaron co-founded a small product company in Germany. It started as a side project during university — making modular wallets, learning manufacturing, figuring things out along the way.
Then it was time for something new.
After four years of building, Aaron sold the company and took some time off. Traveled, reset, Now he's starting fresh — a small design studio focused on thoughtfully engineered products.
Started making products in a dorm room with a 3D printer.
The side project grew. Built a small factory, learned CNC milling and industrial 3D printing.
Small team, good products. Things were going well.
Sold the company. Took time to travel and think.
Founded Rau Studio.
Launched Coinbook. The first of hopefully many.
Steel that remembers.
Coinbook is an indestructible stainless steel device for storing seed phrases and critical data. Every detail — from the stamping jig to the packaging — was prototyped, tested, and iterated by hand.
Always making something.
Coinbook is the first product, but there's more in the works. Different categories, same approach — make something you'd actually want to own.
